A member of the American Boys Band Backstreet Boys, Nick Carter, was accused of rape Thursday December 8 by a former autistic fan, who denounced facts going up to 2001, when she was 17 years old.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Shannon Ruth explained at a press conference in California that she had filed a complaint for rape committed by the singer on the sidelines of a group’s concert in Tacoma, in the state of Washington. “Although I am autistic and that I live with a cerebral paralysis, I believe that nothing made me suffer in my life more than what Nick Carter did,” said this woman in sobs today 39 years old.

After a request for an autograph, the star invited her on a bus bus, where he gave her a drink to “strange taste” praised like a “VIP juice”, assured the lawyer for the complainant, Mark Boskovich. “After she drank the juice, Carter brought her to the bus toilet, told her to kneel, and released her genitals by ordering her to perform sexual acts,” he detailed.

According to the lawyer, the teenager, virgin at the time, cried throughout her ordeal and the singer continued his assault. He then “pushed her on the bed” at the bottom of the bus “and raped her, despite his protests,” he added. The 42 -year -old star then treated her with “backward little bitch” that “nobody would believe” if she denounced the facts, according to the lawyer.

three other accusations

Mrs. Ruth filed her civilian complaint in Las Vegas, in Nevada, where she and the singer live. It requires financial compensation, the amount of which has not been disclosed. According to his lawyer, the complaint includes the statements of three other women, who also accuse the singer of sexual assault. They wish to remain anonymous and have not yet filed a complaint on an individual basis.

Nick Carter, whose group produced the songs I Want It that Way and Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), has already been accused in 2017 of rape by American singer Melissa Schuman. In this case, Mr. Carter has always denied the facts and the prosecution of Los Angeles did not prosecute it because the facts denounced were prescribed.

Contacted by Agency France-Presse (AFP), its representatives had not reacted Thursday afternoon to the new accusations against him. The singer made no mention of the complaint on social networks, where recent posts pay tribute to his brother, who died last month. “This accusation is completely false,” assured a member of his entourage at the People site TMZ . “Nick focuses on his family and the mourning of his brother.”
