Several other actions of this type have been carried out in recent weeks by climate activists, who have targeted emblematic buildings, but also famous works of art in several European cities.

Ecologists activists tried without success in Oslo Friday to stick their hands on the cry, the emblematic masterpiece of the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch, to denounce the petroleum industry in Norway.

At the beginning of the month, two activists of “Last Generation” had spread potato puree on the glass protecting the canvas of Claude Monet the grinders, at the Barberini Museum in Potsdam, in Germany.

Activists also stuck on the glass protecting the girl to the pearl of Johannes Vermeer in a museum in the Netherlands. Others threw soup on the one that protected Vincent Van Gogh’s sunflowers at the National Gallery of London.
