The level of risk of avian influenza was carried on Thursday, November 10, from “moderate” to “high” throughout the metropolitan territory, according to a decree published in the Official Journal, forcing breeders to confine their poultry .

The main production regions, Brittany and Pays de la Loire, but also the Deux-Sèvres department, were already subject to this obligation since mid-October, but the epizootic continued to spread during the last days, a home having notably been discovered in the Gard last week.
