More than twenty young people have been continued by the courts following the scuffles that have broken out in the past two weeks near Hauts-de-Seine high schools, the prosecution said on Friday, October 21, requested by the France Agency -Presse.

In detail, four minors were delivered a summons by judicial police officer (COPJ), eighteen young people were summoned by trial before a criminal judge (CPPV) and one will be tried in immediate appearance.

Furthermore, a minor was referred on Tuesday before the prosecutor’s delegate for a citizenship internship, said the Nanterre prosecutor’s office, who added that procurements of adult and minor people were “envisaged” on Saturday.

High school students blocked establishments on Tuesday, notably in Paris, in support of the inter -union strike for wage increases and the right to strike, but also against the reform of the vocational high school and Parcoursup. Some also displayed their support for the mobilized students of the Joliot-Curie high school in Nanterre, west of Paris.

climate disturbed by the transfer of a teacher

The latter had started a protest movement against the end of the homework assistance system, the framework for applying the principle of secularism and supporting a transferred teacher and unionist. The next day, clashes between police and young people had broken out and continued sporadically until last Tuesday, where new fireworks shots marked the morning.

The climate of this establishment has been disturbed since the transfer at the end of September of Kai Terada, professor of mathematics also cosecretary of Sud Education 92.

The transfer decree evokes an activity “apart from the social dialogue bodies of the normal establishment or exercise of a union activity”, according to several teaching unions.

The Minister of National Education Pap Ndiaye had mentioned on October 15 “a high school which has a certain number of dysfunctions for a long time”.
