Node.js 20.0 Server Platform Now Available

Node.js 20.0 has been released, providing platforms for performing network applications in JavaScript. The release, which took place on the official Node.js website, has been attributed to branches with long-term support, with this status to be assigned in October once stabilization has occurred.

Node.js 20.x will be supported until April 30, 2026. The accompanying past LTS-vehicle, Node.js 18.x, will last until April 2025, and the Aul in LTS vehicle 16.x until September 2023. The support of LTS vehicle 14.x will be discontinued on April 30, and the intermediate branch, Node.js 19.x, will be discontinued on June 1.

The main updates to Node.js 20.0 include the engine V8, which has been updated to version 11.3.

Developers and users of Node.js can expect increased stability and long-term support for this popular platform.
