U.S. Govt to Inform Citizens on Computer Identification

US Government July 31 introduced the National Cyber Enormous Strategy (National Cyber Workforce and Education Strategy, NCWES), the purpose of which is to increase the digital literacy of citizens. The plan will help satisfy the growing demand for qualified specialists in the computer sphere.

According to a press release, there is a noticeable deficit in the cyber workforce sector, with hundreds of thousands of vacant jobs and a shortage of qualified specialists to fill these positions. Additionally, education in this field is lacking in terms of availability and quality.

“Strengthening our cyber workforce and providing opportunities for every American to benefit from cyberspace is a national task,” said Camba Inias Walden, the acting National Director of Information Technologies.

The strategy emphasizes the need for collaboration between the education sector, government institutions, and technology companies such as Microsoft, Google, and MasterCard.

NCWES aims to make training accessible for all individuals, and to develop fundamental computer skills among Americans at all educational levels, ranging from elementary schools to universities, colleges, and technical schools.

Only time will tell if this project will yield tangible results.
