GITEXTensions 4.2 release

GITEXTENSIONS 4.2, a tool with a graphic interface for managing the GIT repository, has
been released. This tool integrates into the system menu for working with
files and can be used in various IDEs such as Jetbrains, VSCODE, and
MSVS. The project code is written in C# and is distributed under the GPLv3
license.

The main changes in this release are:

  • New integration plugin with Gitlab.
  • Added support for personal access tokens in Pagin Jira.
  • Various performance improvements.
  • Various user interface improvements.
  • Improvements in the dialog box of the Git team magazine.
  • Improvements in the Rebase dialog box.
  • Ability to perform the saving operation “Save as…” for multiple files at once.
  • The editor now supports moving lines up/down using Alt + Up and Alt + Down.
  • Implemented SSH_ASKPASS plot for password requests in Openssh 8.4 or higher.
  • Automatic installation of Gitextensions as an editor is now limited to the current environment.
  • Reset of unrelended changes is allowed without affecting intermediate.
  • Improved error processing for “failed to upload a file or assembly.”
  • Vertical tabulation (Shift + Enter) is now considered as a string translation.
  • Added assembly of the GITEXTensions assembly for Windows on ARM64 (WOA) systems.
  • Implemented the option “{Head}” for scripts.
  • Assembly now requires .NET 6.0 desktop runtime v6.0.24 or newer.
