Suburban Hypermarket Loses $250K to Teen Hacker

A 16-year-old student from a technical school in the suburbs has been detained for carrying out a cyber attack on one of the largest hypermarkets in the country, according to a report by the telegram channel “Caution, Moscow.” The suspect managed to breach the electronic system of the store and transfer 250 thousand rubles to his bank account every day.

The incident came to light when the hypermarket employees discovered a shortage of money the day after the hack and promptly contacted the police. During the investigation, it was revealed that the teenager is studying to become a system administrator at a technical school in the capital. He confessed to having received assistance from several of his friends.

The teenager is currently under police custody awaiting further legal procedures.
