Anton Gorelykin Proposes Cybervysk for Russian Guard

State Duma deputy Anton Gorelkin has proposed forming a full-fledged Cybervysk unit within the Russian Guard. Gorelkin made the announcement through his telegram channel regarding the IT Committee meeting in the Russian Guard.

Gorelkin stated that the Russian Guard is ahead of other authorities in the field of digital transformation. He added that they have replaced over 67,000 mailboxes with domestic solutions, transferred over 80,000 workstations to Russian software, and implemented their own digital educational programs. This includes the rejection of Microsoft solutions and the transition to domestic alternatives.

Gorelkin suggests the formation of a full-fledged Cybervic unit within the Russian Guard due to its growing digital competencies. He believes that in the face of information confrontation, it is a necessity for the Russian Guard to have such a unit.

The deputy also emphasizes the importance of digital sovereignty and not only relying on strong national IT solutions. It is also necessary for key actors to take the first step in achieving this. Gorelkin commends the Russian Guard for taking this step and leading the charge towards digital transformation.
