Medusa was added by the school district of Minneapolis (Minneapolis Public Schools, MPS) on its site in the darknet and threatens to publish stolen data if the school district does not pay.
MPS confirmed kiberataku in February and said that the organization’s IT systems were disconnected. Hackers now require a ransom of $ 1 million for removing the stolen data.
