According to sources in the FBI, the incident is associated with a computer system located in the FBI office in New York, which was used to investigate the case of the distribution of children’s pornography. It is still unknown how attackers managed to access the network.
“FBI knows about the incident and is working on additional information,” the statement said. “This is a single incident that managed to localize. The FBI does not comment on the incident, since the investigation continues.”
