Pierre Palmade placed in police custody, five days after provoking serious road accident

An investigation for homicide and involuntary injuries had been opened after the collision which made four seriously injured, including a 27 -year -old pregnant woman who lost her baby.

Five days after the accident, the French humorist Pierre Palmade was placed in police custody on Wednesday February 15 following the serious road accident which he caused Friday in Seine-et-Marne under the Correction of cocaine, announced the Melun prosecution.

“Mr. Palmade was placed in police custody at 1:55 pm,” said Melun prosecutor, Jean-Michel Bourlès, without specifying the place of his police custody.

Friday, the 54 -year -old actor was behind the wheel of his car, under the influence of cocaine according to the expertise made public by the prosecution, when he came to hit another vehicle on the D372 at the level of Villiers-en-Bière (Seine-et-Marne). This accident made three seriously injured: a 27 -year -old pregnant woman who lost her baby, a 38 -year -old man and a 6 -year -old child.

Wednesday morning, two of the three victims of the car struck by that of Pierre Palmade “were still in intensive care,” said their lawyer Me Mourad Battikh, on BFMTV.

The actor was also injured in the accident. He expressed his “shame” and is ready to assume “the consequences of his actions,” said his sister Hélène Palmade on Tuesday in a press release.
