Fuel allowance: modest households have one more month to request help of 100 euros

According to the Minister of the Economy, about half of the eligible households have not yet made a request for this aid which replaced the rebate at the pump.

The most modest workers will have one more month to apply for fuel compensation, the Minister of the Economy Minister, Bruno Le Maire, On RTL . They initially had until February 28 to submit their request and obtain aid of 100 euros, paid at once to the tax households located in the first five revenue deciles.

But this targeted help, which has a a billion euros envelope and replaces the fuel in the pump in force until the end of 2022 since mid-January, does not reach all its objectives. Indeed, many eligible homes – “almost half”, according to the Minister of Economy – have not yet informed the request form for the fuel allowance available on the site impots.gouv.fr .

As a reminder, the “fuel compensation” is reserved for households whose reference tax income is less than 14,700 euros in 2021, or 1,314 euros net per month for a single person or 3,941 euros for a couple with two children. It is also necessary fulfill other conditions : have declared activity income in 2021 and use a vehicle for professional purposes.

Motor two-wheelers and cars without a license are admitted, unlike electric scooters or function vehicles for example. Thus, an active couple with low wages and using two different cars to get to work can benefit from two aids, or 200 euros.

Furthermore, the government encourages companies in the sector to make a gesture vis-à-vis the prices charged. The Minister of Public Accounts, Gabriel Attal, said on France 2 wish that “companies that can, in particular total if this is the case, can make a new gesture”.
