A new malware, designed to track down the vulnerable Redis servers on the Internet, has infected more than a thousand of them since September 2021. Researchers from Aqua Security, who discovered this program, gave it the name Headcrab. According to them, harmfulness is still impossible to detect traditional antivirus solutions.
“We found not only the harmful Headcrab program, but also the unique method of determining its infection on Redis servers. Our method has identified about 1200 infected servers” –
