A cross-platform messenger called MeetVap has been unveiled with clients available for Android, iOS, and Web platforms. The project, which focuses on ensuring user privacy, has published its source code, including the server components, in an effort to promote transparency and security.
One of the key features of MeetVap is that messages are not stored on the server after delivery, and user registration does not require a phone number or email address, enhancing the privacy of users. The messenger supports personal and group chats, voice and video calls, file sharing, voice messages, and geolocation.
The source code of MeetVap is licensed under the AGPLv3 license, allowing developers to review, modify, and contribute to the project. Modern AI tools were employed during the development of the mobile and Web interfaces to expedite implementation, while the architecture, design, and integration of functionality were meticulously overseen by the developer.
