QBittorrent 5.2.0 Released

Published release of the torrent client qBittorrent 5.2.0, written using the Qt toolkit and developed as an open alternative to µTorrent, close to it in interface and functionality. Among the features of qBittorrent: an integrated search engine, the ability to subscribe to RSS, support for many BEP extensions, remote control via a web interface, sequential download mode in a given order, advanced settings for torrents, peers and trackers, a bandwidth scheduler and IP filter, an interface for creating torrents, support for UPnP and NAT-PMP. The project code is written in C++ and distributed under the GPLv2+ license. Builds of are generated for Linux, Windows, and macOS.

Among the changes:

  • It is possible to customize the colors of panels with download progress and a download map. Added an option to use a color corresponding to the state of the torrent in the download progress bar.



  • A button (palette icon) has been added to the toolbar to call the torrent creation interface (Torrent Creator).

  • An interface for customizing the style and color scheme has been implemented for all platforms.
