KDE Weekly Development Update

Nate Graham, QA Developer for the KDE Project, posted another KDE development report. The most notable changes being developed for the release of KDE Plasma 6.6, scheduled for February 12:

  • The ability to change the volume level of a task using the mouse wheel has been added to the panel on the application icon.
  • Implemented the ability for the application to pass the “position” property when initiating provision screen sharing to improve work in multi-monitor configurations.
  • Clock widget translated to use the library “libclock”, which made it possible to get rid of problems with time zones and increase the efficiency of working with the timer.
  • In the application menu (Kickoff) implemented visual separation of adjacent selected categories.

  • In the search interface when entering a query “winver”, familiar to Windows users, is provided displaying a page with system information.

  • Implemented display of the site icon when controlling the playback of multimedia content in the browser via the Media Player widget, when it was not possible to get a picture with the album cover.

  • In the configurator on the settings page screen unified size of all sliders.

  • Changed animation of switching sections in windows.
