Wine 10.17 Release

Published experimental release of an open implementation of the Win32 API – Wine 10.17. Since the release of 10.16, 17 bug reports have been closed and 367 changes have been made.

The most important changes:

  • Engine Wine Mono updated to release 10.3.0. Wine Mono is a distribution of Framework Mono designed to be used within Wine in place of the proprietary .NET Framework component.
  • For OpenGL, the default rendering backend is enabled using EGL.
  • COMCTL32 library (Common Control) is divided into separate modules for versions 5 and 6.
  • The odbc32 library has improved support for ANSI win32 driversthat are not designed to work with Unicode. The functions SQLDriverConnectA(), SQLSpecialColumnsW(), SQLGetInfoW(), SQLGetInfoW(), SQLStatisticsW() and QLColumnsW() are implemented.
  • Implemented in the ntdll library for FreeBSD a variant of the create_logical_proc_info() function, which displays information about the CPU.
  • Closed error reports related to the operation of applications: tlReader 10.x, wcmd.exe, Free Virtual Keyboard, Roon.
  • Closed reports about errors related to the operation of the games: Metro 2033, INSIDE, So Blonde, Throne and Liberty.
