Nate Graham, QA Developer for the KDE Project, publishedanother report on KDE development. The most notable changes being developed for the release of KDE Plasma 6.6, scheduled for February 12:
- The default has been implemented to storing Wi-Fi passwords in a global context, accessible only to the root user, and not in relation to individual users. The change will allow new users to immediately start working online if the system has previously connected to Wi-Fi, without having to log in again. The login page will also immediately work with functions that require an Internet connection, such as using accounts via LDAP.
- In the widget with the implementation of the application menu (Application Dashboard) takes into account the selected color scheme for display in light colors in the light design mode (the menu continues to be displayed dark by default). Added the ability to resize sections with Favorites and regular applications to allocate more screen space to one of them.
- Added the ability to temporarily disable templates and commands in the clipboard manager Klipper without removing them from the list.
- The corners of the marker highlighting the active element of the top menu in applications have been rounded.
