The developers of Almalinux have enabled the CRB (Code Ready Builder) by default in the latest update to release Almalinux OS 10.0. Almalinux OS Kitten 10 is based on Centos Stream 10, and the CRB repository has been included since the end of August. For users who do not wish to include CRB, they can use the DNF Config-Manager –disable CRB command.
The CRB repository provides a selection of packages that are not available in Red Hat Enterprise Linux. These packages include applications for developers, additional libraries and bindings, Filmary data packages, documentation, header files, static assemblies, and code examples (packages “-Devel”, “-example”, “-Doc”, and “-static”). Additionally, the CRB repository contains libraries that are used as dependencies in packages from the EPEL (Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux) repository.
