Developer has created a new driver called rotary_dial for the Linux kernel, allowing users to utilize a disk numeronabrifier typically found in telephones with pulsed set numbers. This device can function as a stylish alternative to a traditional numpad, reminiscent of its use in older mobile phones. By connecting the numeronabrifier through GPIO and activating the driver, it is recognized as a new EVDEV input device.
