A new district assembly named Modicia has been in development since 1998, based on the DEBIAN package base and tailored for musicians, designers, and video creators. Utilizing the Cinnamon desktop environment, the project offers an application catalog with approximately 1000 packages. The iso-image size for Modicia is 5.1 GB (x86_64) and can be launched in Live-mode.
Key features of Modicia include the default inclusion of high performance mode CPU (Turbo Boost), reduced activity in the pumping section to enhance performance, utilization of zram for data compression in RAM, availability of a real-time operating nucleus, and integration of Wine for running multimedia programs designed for Windows.
