After four months of development, the release of the desktop KDE Plasma 6.4 has been published. To evaluate the work of new issues KDE you can use assembly from projects from kde neon and opensuse (argon, based on Opensuse Leap, and Krypton, based on Opensuse TumbleWeed).
The main changes include:
- Added Support for each virtual desktop of its mosaic window layout.
- The theme of the design of Breeze Dark is made darker for a more contrasting display of the text and the front plan elements on a dark background.
- The background of the desktop and the current window was implemented during the output of the authentication dialog for more noticeable focusing on it.
- In the Kickoff application menu and the Application Launcher widget, green marks are implemented to allocate recently installed programs from the total mass. Tags disappear three days after the first launch of a new application.
