The eleventh corrective renewal of the Debian 12 distribution has been formed, including accumulated packet updates and installer corrections. This release contains 81 updates addressing stability issues and 45 updates addressing vulnerabilities.
Notable changes in Debian 12.11 include updates to fresh stable versions of DPDK, NVIDIA-GRAPHICS-DRIVERS, NVIDIA-SETTINGS, OPENSL, POSTGResQL, and Wireless-Regdb. Packages like Pidgin-Skype and Viagee have been removed due to functionality issues.
Users can download and install Debian 12.11 “from scratch” by accessing the assemblies on the Debian website. Existing systems with support will receive updates through the standard installation system. Security updates for Debian 12.11 can be obtained from security.debian.org.
In addition, the first candidate for the installer of the next major release, Debian 13 “Trixie”, has been announced. The release of Debian 13 is anticipated in the summer of 2025. Currently, there are 257 critical errors hindering the release of Debian 13.
