Huawei Launches Kunling Ekitstor Shield 200 Series External Hard Drives
Huawei has introduced its latest generation of external hard drives, the Kunling Ekitstor Shield 200 series. These devices come in three storage capacities – 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB. The 1 TB model is currently available for purchase at a price of 769 yuan, while the 2 TB version is priced at 1399 yuan. The price for the 4 TB version has not been specified yet. Customers can choose between two color options – gold and silver.
The external drives are built with a metal casing that can withstand a load of up to two tons. They are also protected by a rubber coating and comply with the IP67 standard, offering dust and moisture resistance as well as the ability to withstand drops from heights of up to three meters. Huawei is offering a five-year limited warranty for these devices.
Featuring a USB 3.2 GEN 2 × 2 interface with a Type-C connector, the Kunling Ekitstor Shield 200 series offers a maximum data transfer speed of 2000 megabytes per second. The dimensions of the device with the rubber coating are 108 mm x 71 mm x 19 mm, and without the coating, they measure 97.8 mm x 66.06 mm x 15 mm. Additionally, these drives support AES-XTS encryption with a 256-bit key length and automatic data backup in the cloud. They are compatible with MacOS, HarmonyOS, and Android operating systems.
