Collabora has recently announced the implementation of VULKAN PanVK support for graphic API VULKAN 1.4 on devices with ARM-based GPU v10 architecture, including MALI-G610 and MALI-G310. This development has been incorporated into the Mesa code base and will be available to users with the upcoming Mesa 25.2 release, which is currently in the candidate for release stage. It’s worth noting that in the current stable version of Mesa 25.1, PanVK only supports Vulkan 1.2.
Looking ahead, Collabora plans to further develop the Panvk driver by focusing on enhancing performance for typical tasks, improving compatibility with existing applications, and implementing support for additional VULKAN extensions. They also aim to increase performance for older generation GPUs like BIFROST (V6 and V7) and extend Vulkan support to the first generations of the Valhall (V9) GPUs.
