Labwc 0.9.0 Released: Wayland Composite Server

LabWC 0.9.0 has been published, a project developing a composite server for Wayland with features similar to a window manager like Openbox. It aims to provide an alternative to Openbox for Wayland. LabWC focuses on minimalism, compact implementation, wide settings, and high performance. The project code is written in SI and is distributed under the GPL v2 license. Animated effects, gradients, and pictograms, except for buttons for windows, are not fundamentally supported.

The project is built on the wlroots library, providing basic functions for organizing the work of a composite manager based on Wayland. Add-ons can be connected to enable functions like creating screenshots, displaying wallpaper, and adding a panel and menu. X11 applications can be launched using the xwayland DDX component. Design themes, menus, and hotkeys can be customized through XML configuration files.
