Tiktok has introduced a new font called Tiktoksans , specifically designed for mobile interfaces with high-density pixels and for creating subtitles for videos. The font is already being used by default when selecting subtitles in videos posted on the Tiktok platform. Tiktoksans is not only ideal for mobile interfaces but also suitable for web and user interfaces. The initial components of the font are open source under the OFL 1.1 (Open Font License), allowing for unlimited modifications, commercial usage, printing, and web applications.
This versatile font supports over 460 languages, including those based on Cyrillic scripts. It offers variable styling characteristics, enabling flexible adjustments such as angle of inclination, thickness, height, and other parameters. With 14 basic styles, more than 1000 glyphs, and 4 sets without cuttings (Regular, Italic, Expanded, and Condensed), Tiktoksans provides a wide range of options for customization.
