Company Nival Releases Source Code of Blitzkrieg Game
Company Nival has recently published the source code of the game Blitz Crown (Blitzkrieg), which was originally released in 2003. This real-time military strategy game is written in C and C++ and is now available under a license that permits use and modification for non-profit purposes only.
The repository includes code for the single-player version of the game, alongside related game data, map editors, and development tools. It also offers support for assembly on the Windows platform.
In addition to Blitzkrieg, Company Nival has partially opened the code of another game called Prime World, released in 2014. Built on the NIVAL engine, Prime World falls under the multiplayer online combat arena genre. The released code specifically pertains to the combat part of the game, with the construction of the castle part remaining unavailable.
For Prime World, players can access assemblies of the game data editor and the client of the combat part, which includes cheat codes for added gameplay features.
