Two silver medals for France in 4 × 100 m relay four swimming; Ndoye Brouard wins bronze out of 100

The French delegation presents in Rome at the European Swimming Championships now has thirteen medals at its record. The French swimmers won the silver of the 4 × 100 m swim relay, Wednesday August 17, behind the Swedes, European champions.

The French swimmers, Pauline Mahieu (Dos), Charlotte Bonnet (Brasse), Marie Wattel (Papillon) and Beryl Gastaldello (Libre), pulverized the French record on this distance, with a time of 3 min 56 s 36, three seconds better than the former record.

The male team also won second place on the podium of the same race, behind the Italians. Yohann Ndoye Brouard (Dos), Antoine Viquerat (breaststroke), Clément Secchi (butterfly) and Maxime Grousset (Libreal) managed a time of 3 min 32 s 50.

The third French medal of the day had been won a few hours earlier by Yohann Ndoye Brouard, who obtained bronze from the 100 m back, after being crowned on 200 m back on Saturday.
