Developers of the project RASPBERRY PI published Spring distribution renewal raspberry Pi OS 2022-09-06 (raspbian), based on the Debian package base. Three assemblies were prepared for loading – abbreviated ( 338 MB ) for server systems, with a base desktop ( 891 MB ) and Complete with an additional set of applications (2.7 GB). The distribution is supplied with the user environment Pixel (branch from LXDE). For installation from repositories about 35 thousand packages are available.
In the new issue:
- In the application menu, the possibility of searching for the names of the installed programs is implemented, which simplifies navigation using the keyboard – the user can cause the menu by pressing the Windows key, and then immediately start the set of masks for searching and after receiving the list of applications corresponding to select the necessary cursor keys.
- Separate indicators for controlling the volume and sensitivity of the microphone are implemented on the panel (a common indicator was previously offered). When clicking on indicators with the right -button mouse, lists of available input and output devices are shown.
