For an hour and a half, he received the social partners to explain to them how the exchanges will take place. Recently relaunched by the executive, the idea of ​​postponing 65 years of the age of rights to a pension will appear in the last chapter of the discussions. This campaign promise by Emmanuel Macron is the biggest blocking point, all unions being hostile to such a measure that they say they are ready to fight by “all the necessary means of action”.

The government’s chef had declared that consultations would be engaged during the fall on this project, her wish being to draw a “before Christmas”. “We favor the registration of this reform in a bill which should be voted before the end of winter, for the entry into force of the reform in the summer of 2023,” she added.

Wednesday, Mr. Dussopt provided details to this roadmap, indicating that the talks will be cut into three “cycles”. The first, centered on “the employment of seniors and the prevention of professional wear”, will start on October 10. From November 7 will begin a second sequence of reflection, on “equity and [social justice”, which could fuel tensions because it will notably be a question of “the future of special regimes”.
