Distributors of the Lubuntu announced about the publication of the PPA-Roquation lubuntu backports , offering packages for installation in Lubuntu/Ubuntu 22.04 of the actual output of user environment LXQT 1.1. In the original assemblies Lubuntu 22.04, an outdated branch of LXQT 0.17, published in April 2021, is supplied.
Lubuntu Backports repository is still at the beta testing stage and created by analogy with the repository with fresh versions of KDE desktop, accompanied by the developers of Kubuntu and KDE Neon.
The official release of Bacports is scheduled for July 19, if significant problems are not identified.
