The price of the best cartoon album of the past year returned to Listen, pretty Marcia (here and there), from Brazilian Marcello Quintanilha. Chaired by the illustrator, an autore and musician Fanny Michaëlis, the Jury of the International Cartoon Festival (FIBD) of Angoulême has awarded his Golden Fave, Saturday, March 19, to this work truculent and serious at the same time, in The vein of other narratives published by Marcello Quintanilha (Tungsten, Glass Talc, etc.).

His heroin, Marcia, is a nurse from a Rio de Janeiro hospital who finds himself faced with a neighborhood gang with which fricotes imprudently his daughter jaqueline, young woman casually to the tongue tangled. Diving in the daily violence of Brazil, the album is worth by its scenic scenes of the lives of favelas and by a carnival digital colorization that accentuates the hiatus between comedy and tragedy.

In the image of the Golden Fouve, the Festival rewarded several independent publishers to which he attributed the main prizes of his chart: 2024, atrabile, the sharks hammers, cornelius …

Wednesday, March 16, the FIBD had given the Grand Prix of SA 49 e edition to the Canadian Julie Doucet for all of his work.
