Under the rubble of a university building in Kharkiv, bombed on Friday, March 18 by the Russian army, firefighters are trying to find survivors. Vladislav, a university employee, could be saved. “I fell and I covered my head. I was lucky that the wall did not crushed me,” he remembers. This rescue is “a miracle”, according to the rescuer Volodymyr Bykov. The attack killed a person and injured several others, according to the Ukrainian state emergency department.

Russia has bombarded Kharkiv intensively and other cities in the eastern Ukraine during the last days. But the second city of the country, assaulted by the Russian forces on several sides and the main axes, is not encircled yet.
