Ukraine: in Irpine, images of civilians fleeing Russian bombing

Video for several days, the city of Irpin lives at the rhythm of Russian bombing. Among the inhabitants who are trying to flee, eight were killed Sunday, including a family with two children, according to the authorities.

Irpine, located about twenty kilometers from the Ukrainian capital, is under the fire of Russian bombing for several days. Shelled by Russian artillery Sunday, March 6, the city is empty of its inhabitants. Whole families are trying to flee the city, at the risk of their life.

Eight people were killed in Sunday’s only day, including a family with two children, touched by a mortar shot, according to the authorities. The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has strongly reacted this attack in a video on Sunday night. “We will not forget. We will not forgive. We punish anyone committed atrocities in this war (…). You will never find tranquility on this earth – except in the grave,” he added.

The bridge that connects irpine to Kiev was destroyed and now makes the leak more dangerous. So, on the spot, the Ukrainian military has helped the most fragile so that they cross the makeshift bridges and accelerate the evacuation of the city. Ten thousand people have already left this suburban dormitory suburb at high towers now in ruins.
