Born in Erba (Province of Como, Lombardy), on July 16, 1930, the 18-year-old young man joined the Polytechnic School of Milan for studying and architectural studies. At the same time it integrates the Nautical Institute of Savona (will remain a lover of the sea). In 1951, he became the student of the abstract painter Mario Radice (1898-1987), at Como. It was in 1954 that he knocked on the door of Piccolo Teatro de Milan, where Giorgio Strehler reigns, which he became the costume. Follow, between creations and occasions, the Opera de Quat’sous, Brecht (Milan and Paris), the Giants of the Mountain, Pirandello (in 1968) to futuristic references, later presented in New York and Europe, the Circassien King Lear, from Shakespeare, the trilogy of the resort and Arlequin, servant of two masters, from Goldoni (Vienna and Paris), not to mention the house of Bernarda Alba, of Garcia Lorca, or the storm, of Strindberg (in 1978) , which marks an important step.

The Milan Scala is not left out. Ezio Frigerio participates in thirty-two productions of ballets and operas (including eight opening season).
