Space center specialists “Eastern” (branch of the center of exploitation of ground-based space infrastructure, is included in the state corporation “Roskosmos”) started the first stage of annual service on the technical complex of the cosmodrome.
Since the beginning of February 2022, the maintenance of warranty power systems is undergoing. During the work, the eastern specialists carry out an external inspection to make sure that there are no mechanical damage, cleaning equipment, pulling the threaded compounds, and also check the electrical resistance of the insulation and the operation of the systems. The final stage will be the verification of the equipment’s technical characteristics when simulating an increased load.
All such cosmodrome systems need annual maintenance. It is they provide a constant power to all high-precision equipment, which is used in the preparation of spacecraft and carrier missiles on the technical complex, and it is precisely with their help. Any differences or voltage jumps are excluded during work.
