Presidential Election 2022: left wing of LRM hopes a rebalancing after debauchass of Sarkozysts

After Eric Woerth, the Mayor of Calais, Natacha Bouchart, announced his rally, Friday, by the majority. Nicolas Sarkozy remains for the moment silent.

For the time being, he does not say word. It’s good enough to macrony. Silent, Nicolas Sarkozy is desired by his camp who hopes for a tender word towards the party candidate the Republicans (LR) in the presidential election, Valérie Pécresse. The entourage of Emmanuel Macron, hopes that the former head of state, which is cited in several cases and has been twice sentenced at first instance – in that of the spears and in that of the campaign accounts in 2012 -, will maintain, with regard to the future candidate for his re-election, this “caring neutrality”. Without going beyond. To take a step closer to Mr. Macron would even be deemed “bulky”, explains a relative of the tenant of the Elysée.

The hypothesis is unlikely, but not impossible. Nicolas Sarkozy, a figure of the right uninhibited, remains attached to his political family. The question arises, however, since the announcement, Wednesday 9 February, the support of Emmanuel Macron of the member for the Oise, Eric Woerth, a member so far from LR. The man, relaxed in 2015 in the Bettencourt case, is a close to Nicolas Sarkozy. “He told him before making his decision? We can think it,” said François Patriat, Senator of the Côte-d’Or for the presidential party, the Republic in March (LRM). And the former socialist to add: “Sarkozy, what I think and what I wish is that he does not say anything.” Thursday, February 10 in the evening, another personality close to Mr. Sarkozy, the Mayor of Calais, Natacha Bouchart (LR), reveals on the Figaro site that it wants “Emmanuel Macron is re-elected”.

“The beginning of something”

Nobody, within the Macronia, does not make the mouth, the inclination of LR is good news for the head of state. And after Catherine Vautrin, President of Greater Reims, Mr. Woerth is a size. The sexagenarian, president of the Committee on Finance at the National Assembly, obscured by the reinforcement of public accounts, is a good reinforcement for Emmanuel Macron, accused of being the one who “crams the box” by Valérie Pécresse. It ranks in the moderate right which, although having criticized the government, has never been “in the Invective”, observes Mr. Patriate. Within the government, men from LR, Bruno the Mayor and Gerald Darmanin, applaud. The first, Minister of the Economy, boasted “a choice of sincerity, up to the current economic and financial issues”. The second, inside, greets “a great voice of the Gaullist and liberal right. (…) A sincere man who objectively looks at the interest of France beyond small partisan calculations”.
