The authorities recommended citizens who fell into an accident with vehicles carrying athletes, officials and coaches, wait for the arrival of “professionals” to the scene.
The local government also encouraged the inhabitants to give way to cars with Olympic logos and observe the distance in case of an accident.
Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) appreciated the security of the Olympics in Beijing and stated that he did not see serious risks in conducting games, taking into account the strict epidemiological measures and other steps taken by the Chinese authorities in anticipation of the competition.
