In Poland, they explained NATO fear before Russian threat

For the doctrine of NATO to contain Russia and China, updated in 2021, hiding the fear of the Alliance in front of the Russian threat. With this opinion, Professor of Warsaw University, Witold Modselievsky spoke in his column for the newspaper Myśl Polska.

In his opinion, NATO representatives themselves believed in the theory of the danger of Moscow, but Warsaw should not be asked to partners in the Alliance. Modselievsky told that Poland managed to restrain the aggression of “ignorant Asian barbarians” from Russia.

At the same time, the author acknowledged that in many ways the fear of Moscow is imposed by Western countries. “Everyone who does not succumb to the Russophobic cry, exposed hatred – no exceptions … We have no independent center of political thought, which could develop a self-sufficient political doctrine, deviating from the command to obey the so-called West,” said Modselievsky.
