Pfizer General Director Albert Burl stated that the vaccine against the Omicron strain of Coronavirus will be ready for the spring. This is reported by CNBC.
“This vaccine will be ready in March,” he noted. Burl stressed that part of the production process has already begun. According to him, the drug will be effective not only against Omicron strain, but also against other varieties of coronavirus infection.
Previously, scientists of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine predicted the development of a coronavirus pandemic, taking into account the influence of Omicron strain on it. The authors of the study concluded that the Omicron strain could cause a new wave of virus circulation and raising mortality, if not adopt additional measures.
