US called for judging hackers from Revil

A high-ranking representative of the US authorities stated that the United States expects that the arrested members of the Hacker Group Revil will appear before justice, RIA Novosti reports.

American official reported that the White House called on to judge two hackers from Revil. The United States expressed the hope that Russia will hold legal events within the framework of its own judicial system regarding these criminals.

“We expect that they will appear before justice not only for their previous crimes, but also for the sake of preventing the future,” she stressed.

Earlier in the United States, a hacker was told about the detainee in Russia. An American official said that one of the Revil members was involved in the hacking American pipeline company Colonial Pipeline.

January 14, the Tver Court of Moscow arrested hackers of the Revil grouping that distributed extortionable viruses. They are also accused of a large-scale cyber attack on American companies. Russian hackers of Roman Muromsky and Andrei Bessonova entered into custody until March 13. They imputed part 2 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “Unauthorized Turnover of Payments”.

14 members Revil seized 426 million rubles, 500 thousand euros, 600 thousand US dollars and 20 premium cars acquired on income from illegal activities.
