The European Union will continue to prepare projects of new economic sanctions against Russia, said the EU Supreme Representative on Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel Press conference following the informal meeting of the EU heads in French Brest. This transmits TASS.
Supreme Representative stated that the discussion of the foundations of European security was the focus of attention at the meeting in Brest. “We must be prepared for the reflection of aggression, but we prefer the path of diplomacy and negotiations. We reject any attempts to recreate the spheres of influence in Europe,” said Borrel.
Politician announced the strengthening of cooperation with the United States and NATO countries, as well as on the preparation of projects of new sanctions against Russia in coordination with EU partners.
