White House answered question about Putin’s possible meeting and Biden

Press Secretary of the White House, Jen Psaki, stated that she had not yet to report on the possibility of meeting the US President Joe Bayden with the Russian leader Vladimir Putin. She answered the question during a regular briefing, RIA Novosti quotes it.

According to Psaki, she has no information regarding the meeting of the presidents after security negotiations.

“I have nothing to predict on this front,” she said, appreciating the situation after the summit.

“People travel back in their capitals, they will discuss, will appreciate, look at the situation. So we need to see more about the next steps, we will know more in the coming days,” Psaki concluded.

Earlier in January, the spokesman for President Dmitry Peskov said that the readiness for the conversation between US President Joe Biden and the Russian leader Vladimir Putin is not available for security guarantees. “I repeat once again, the general picture has not yet been compiled, it would be naive to believe that one round of negotiations will give an exhaustive result, but there is no reason for optimism yet, the work will continue,” the Kremlin representative told.
