New York Prosecutor General Leticia James decided to force the former US President Donald Trump and his two children – the daughter of the Ivanka and the son of Donald – to appear to the court for testimony under oath. This is reported to the New York Times.
American investigators have found evidence of the businessman’s fraud who used incorrect assessments of assets for loans and tax breaks. It is believed that the family of a businessman violated the law, overcoming the cost of land donations made in New York and California to justify several million dollars of tax deductions.
“The application forced today is aimed at obtaining a judicial regulation on the extradition of Donald Trump, Donald Timpu-youngeon and Ivanka Trump Agenda for testimony, as well as to provide documents at the disposal of Donald Trump,” said the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Trump and his lawyers say that the investigation has a political background and called him “witch hunting.” The statement indicates that the Prosecutor’s Office has not yet taken the final decision on the initiation of a lawsuit based on the evidence.
Previously, the ex-president declared his imminent return to the White House. The former leader of the country at the rally of his supporters in the city of Florence, Arizona promised to return in 2024. He also noted the need to “make America’s Great again.”
