France: main Favorite of French in presidential election

France President Emmanuel Macron became the leader of public opinion polls and remained the main favorite on the upcoming presidential elections, which will be held in April 2022. It is reported by BFMTV.

According to the results of a survey conducted by the TV channel, in less than three months before the first round, almost every second Frenchman (48 percent) called the policy of the race. 14 percent of respondents predict Valerie Pekress victory, candidate from Republicans, or Marin Le Pen, a candidate from the “National Association”. Only six percent believe in the victory of the candidate from the motion of the “reconquist” Eric Sammura, and five percent put on the victory of Jean-Luca Melanchon from “unscrewed France.”

In December 2021, Macron responded to the question of participation in the presidential election and stated that the circumstances currently did not allow him to reflect on the second term. The leader of the republic added that if he had already announced his participation in the upcoming elections, “it would be difficult to make the necessary decisions, in particular, to combat the new coronavirus pandemic wave.”

The election of the President of France will be held in two rounds. They are scheduled for April 10 and 24, 2022.
