held a working meeting of the Director General of the Corporate Academy of Roskosmos Kirill Porvatova with the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation by Professor Janita A. Liyanag.
During the meeting, Kirill Porvatov spoke about the activities of the Academy and the possibilities of international cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Space Educational Center established in the Russian Federation under the auspices of the UN. The Russian and Lankan sides discussed the current state and prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of research and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, in particular, training and advanced training of personnel for educational and industrial institutions Sri Lanka.
Interest was caused by both nine-month professional retraining programs developed in the framework of the ECOC project and short-term advanced training courses. Ms. Ambassador expressed interest in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the Roscosmos Corporate Academy and Lankan Universities and initiated the meeting.
During the meeting, the parties also noted the importance and priority of the signing of a joint statement on the revitalization of cooperation activities in the field of training between the Corporate Academy of Roskosmos and the Ministry of Education of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
