State Duma ridiculed NATO Offer to resume work of representative offices

The first deputy head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Vyacheslav Nikonov commented on the proposal of the organization of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO) of Russia to resume the work of representative offices. He raised this initiative of the Alliance, stressing that the Russian representation was not allowed to work normally for many years, RIA Novosti reports.

“And our representative office in NATO did not give much to work for many years – there is nothing to renew,” the deputy noted.

Earlier, the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg said that alliance and Russia had a number of serious disagreements, calling Moscow to dialogue. According to him, this is an important tool for resolving any contradictions.
