United States announced “positive things” in response to proposals of Russia on security

The head of the US State Department, Anthony Blinken, said that in the answer of Washington to Russia’s proposals there are “very positive things.” His words lead RIA Novosti.

Secretary of State noted that the reaction to the United States’s written response depends on Russia. He stressed that the United States is ready to continue the dialogue with Moscow in those areas in which cooperation is still possible.

Blinken said that in the coming days he plans to discuss the situation with the US response for security guarantees with the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov.

Secretary of State also reported that the US President Joe Biden was actively involved in drawing up the document.

Earlier Blinken confirmed the transfer of Russia to Washington’s written response on security guarantees. He noted that the document contains the concerns of the United States to the actions of Moscow in the field of security.

On January 26, it became known that US Ambassador to Moscow John Sullivan arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry building to transfer Washington’s response to the Kremlin’s proposals for security guarantees in Europe.
